Lice Happens Awards Its First Four Franchises Despite “Lousy” Economy
Pennsylvania, Northern & Southern New Jersey, and Nevada Franchises Open for Business
Lice Happens has awarded four franchises with their unique “No Shame, No Blame” brand of mobile head lice removal service since announcing the availability of franchise business opportunities in February. Multi-unit franchisee Emily Betterly of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Peter and Audrey Byram of Maplewood, NJ, and Michelle and Craig Lohrli of Henderson, NV own these first four franchises.
Ms. Betterly, a Lice Happens veteran, knows first-hand what the opportunity means. “I have always loved the idea of having my own business, and I’ve been making a solid income as a Lice Happens specialist for four years now. The decision to become a franchisee was easy,” she said, “because I already knew how well the business model works. It’s an affordable investment in the growth of my business.” She will continue to take service calls in the greater Philadelphia, PA and Southern NJ areas.
“Having the Lice Happens name and reputation behind our new business gives us a tremendous head start,” said retired Wall Street executive Peter Byram. “[Lice Happens founders] Nancy Fields and MJ Eckert have done a great job creating a successful business model around a ‘feel-good’ service. I’m looking forward to the flexibility and opportunities that a home-based business affords.” The Byram’s will begin taking service calls in Northern NJ in May.
The Lohrli’s were enthusiastic about bringing their passion for helping children, and their competitive spirit, to their new business venture. Parents of a 6-year-old, the Lohrli’s understood immediately the need for Lice Happens’ high-quality service in their suburban Las Vegas neighborhood and wasted no time signing up. “We’re excited to be the very first official franchise, and we’re going to knock it out of the park,” said Craig Lohrli. “We feel fortunate to have stumbled upon such a valuable opportunity with a company whose integrity and honesty impressed us from the very first conversation. We fit right in with that kind of structure,” added Michelle Lohrli. The Lohrli’s will officially launch in June.
“For people who want to make a living helping families through the kinds of minor crises that happen every day, a Lice Happens franchise is an affordable way to open a business that has a positive direct impact on people’s lives,” said Lice Happens co-founder MJ Eckert. “We’ve had so much interest from potential franchisees, and are excited that our first three are seasoned business professionals,” noted Lice Happens co-founder Nancy Fields.
